About AIMS

Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects more than 350,000 people in the US and 2.5 million worldwide. In the US, prevalence estimates are approximately 90 per 100,000 population and MS-related health care costs are estimated to be more than $10 billion annually in the US. The continued prevalence of MS and the current and ongoing advances in the diagnosis and management of the disease inevitably create knowledge and performance gaps for neurologists and other health care providers who care for patients with MS. Advances in Multiple Sclerosis (AIMS) is an educational curriculum designed to educate neurologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, rehabilitation professionals, and other health care providers involved in the management of patients with MS.
